Information security management
ISO 27001 is an international standard for managing information security. It provides a structured way to identify risks, assign responsibilities and review the measures used to protect information.
What it means for Cyberxperts
For a cybersecurity provider, this framework is relevant to how client information is handled, how access is controlled and how security risks are assessed during an engagement. It also provides a basis for reviewing whether those measures remain appropriate as risks change.
Why it matters when choosing a provider
Your provider may need access to sensitive information and systems. A recognised security framework gives you a basis for asking how that access is managed and what evidence supports the provider's practices. Where certification is claimed, check that it is current and covers the services you need. Certification does not guarantee that an incident will never occur.
Understand your own security position
Our complimentary assessment at no cost provides an initial indication of your security maturity and areas that may need attention. It is not an ISO certification audit.
